Harare, Zimbabwe – Hip hop artist and social media personality Christabel Stembeni Mahlungwa, widely known as Kikky Badass, is now facing significant legal jeopardy.
An arrest warrant has reportedly been issued for the entertainer after she allegedly concealed a vehicle that was subject to a court-ordered attachment, in an attempt to evade settling an $18,000 judgment debt.
This dramatic development marks a serious escalation in her long-running legal battle with Masvingo attorney Rodney Saratoga Makausi.
Following Kikky Badass's failure to pay the judgment debt, the court issued a writ of execution on January 24, 2025, authorizing the seizure of her movable assets to satisfy the debt, plus 5% annual interest from December 2024. The primary asset targeted for seizure was her Toyota Aqua (registration AGS 2268).
However, in an attempt to shield the vehicle from seizure, Mahlungwa allegedly tried to mislead the court by falsely claiming the car actually belonged to her sister, Ropafadzo Everjoy Mahlungwa.
Court records reportedly showed conflicting seller affidavits, and the defense failed to provide proof of the sister's claimed foreign residence. "The claimant failed to explain how two different individuals allegedly sold her the same vehicle," the judgment read. "When property faces judicial attachment, clear evidence of ownership must be presented – a burden not met in this case."
The issuance of an arrest warrant for Kikky Badass is a direct result of these criminal charges and her alleged actions to obstruct the course of justice.
Makausi’s legal team has consistently emphasized the significant damage the initial allegations caused to their client’s reputation, particularly as a Seventh Day Adventist, a family man, and a respected legal professional within Masvingo’s tight-knit community.
The current warrant for her arrest marks a serious escalation, moving beyond a civil dispute over defamation to a criminal matter of allegedly obstructing justice.

Defamation Lawsuit's Aftermath: A Car at the Center of the Dispute
The legal saga stems from a 2023 Instagram post in which Kikky Badass publicly accused Mr. Makausi of making inappropriate sexual advances towards her. The viral allegations prompted Makausi to file a defamation lawsuit, initially for $500,000, which was later adjusted to $60,000. Ultimately, the court awarded $18,000 in damages to Makausi.Following Kikky Badass's failure to pay the judgment debt, the court issued a writ of execution on January 24, 2025, authorizing the seizure of her movable assets to satisfy the debt, plus 5% annual interest from December 2024.
