Mutilated Bodies Spark Ritual Killing Panic as Town Drowns in Fear |
As if that wasn't enough, a second body was discovered in the same vicinity on Tuesday, cementing the belief that a predator was stalking the streets of Norton.
A SCENE FROM A HORROR MOVIE: EYES, TONGUE AND PRIVATE PARTS RIPPED OUT!
The sheer brutality inflicted upon Patrice Tinashe Chipaumire is the stuff of nightmares. Sources on the ground confirmed the killers performed a sickening human harvest on his body. Both of his eyes were gouged out, his tongue was sliced from his mouth, and his private parts were savagely removed.National police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, later confirmed the gruesome details in an official statement, adding that Chipaumire’s throat had a deep, gaping cut, flesh was carved from his right cheek, and his left arm was also mutilated. The methodical and horrific removal of specific parts has left investigators and residents alike convinced this was no ordinary murder.
"WE ARE BEING HUNTED LIKE ANIMALS!" - Residents Cry Out
Fear has become a constant companion for the people of Norton. The streets of Katanga now empty long before sunset as terrified residents lock themselves indoors, praying they are not the next victims.“We are now living in fear! We are seeing people being killed like animals, and the removal of the body parts is what terrifies us the most,” one shaken resident told Mhepo News, his voice trembling. “This is the work of evil. This is for rituals. What is more worrying is that the killings came one after another and targeted people from the same area. It feels like we are being hunted.”
SHOCK ARREST MADE, BUT IS HE THE ONLY ONE?
In a dramatic twist, police have arrested a suspect. Pardon Jena, 29, was dragged before Norton magistrate Mitchell Panavanhu to face charges for the murder of Chipaumire. He was immediately remanded in custody.Prosecutor Flossie Chigudu painted a chilling picture for the court. She alleged that on Monday, at the devil's hour of 2 a.m., Jena and Chipaumire left the Seaways bar together. An argument erupted between them near Kufa garage, and Jena allegedly plunged a knife into Chipaumire's neck, felling him instantly.
But the horror didn't end there. Jena is accused of then committing the unspeakable acts of mutilation, carving up Chipaumire’s body before vanishing into the night. Jena was later apprehended near the Petrotrade garage at Katanga shops. While one man is in cuffs, the question on everyone's lips remains: with two bodies found, is he the only killer, or is there a syndicate of ritualists operating in the shadows?

Local resident Pastor Elijah Chikumbani has declared that the town will not bow to the forces of darkness and has called for a spiritual war against the evil that has invaded Norton.“We are going to pray! We will not be afraid because this is the work of the Devil, but it will end by prayer!” he proclaimed in a defiant post on the Norton Times Facebook page. “We will pray, please join us to pray for the city!”
