Mzembi claims that Sikhala, who has been imprisoned without bail for 500 days, may have been poisoned and is displaying concerning symptoms similar to those experienced by late opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai. 

Mzembi's plea highlights the need for urgent medical attention and the importance of releasing Sikhala from political persecution.

Disturbing Letters and Health Concerns:

Mzembi reveals that he has received heartfelt letters directly from Sikhala, expressing his deteriorating condition while incarcerated. The political detainee, considered a prisoner of conscience, reportedly mentioned experiencing blood in his stool—a symptom that has raised alarms among Mzembi and other individuals who have witnessed similar cases amongst public officials. 

Mzembi also suggests that there is a pattern of externally induced gastrointestinal complications, sometimes referred to as "colon cancer" in Zimbabwe, leading to serious health consequences or even death.

A Call for Compassion and Empathy:

Drawing upon the tragic case of the late Dr. Patson Dzamara, who sought local medical solutions rather than flying abroad for expert intervention, Mzembi emphasizes the urgency for Sikhala to receive proper diagnosis and treatment. 

Stressing the need for political freedom and an end to persecution, Mzembi directly appeals to President Mnangagwa, urging him to exercise compassion and empathy by releasing Sikhala.

A Plea for Presidential Intervention:

Mzembi highlights the reluctance of judges to release Sikhala, fearing potential repercussions. Hence, he implores President Mnangagwa to take decisive action, emphasizing that only the president has the power to grant Sikhala's freedom, safeguard his life, and ensure his well-being. 

Urging prompt consideration of the situation, Mzembi mentions the importance of a medical referral to Murambwi, as well as the immediate attention that Sikhala urgently requires.
