ZANU PF candidate Emmerson Mnangagwa and CCC leader Nelson Chamisa are now together at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) for the collation of results.
The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) invited all Presidential candidates to the National Command Centre at the HICC in Harare, as it is currently collating and verifying the 2023 elections results.
The electoral body posted the invitation on its Twitter handle this afternoon:

Based on the provisions of the Electoral Act, Presidential results will be announced anytime from now until 29 August 2023, as the last day of polling was 24 August, following the extension of the voting period. Incumbent President Emmerson Mnangagwa extended the voting period on 23 August, the official day of polling, because ZEC failed to deliver local government ballot papers on time.
Zimbabweans in some wards in Harare, Bulawayo and Manicaland started voting well after 7 AM , with some polling as late as 11 PM.
Regional And International Observers Note Over Multiple Election Irregularities
SADC, the AU and other international observers said the elections did not meet the requirements set by the Zimbabwe Constitution, Regional and international democratic elections standards.This morning, President Emmerson Mnangagwa met former Mozambican President Joaquim Chissano over the 2023 elections. Following this meeting, President Emmerson Mnangagwa had scheduled a 5.30 PM press conference at the State House, but has postponed it to a later date as he is now with other Presidential candidates at the HICC, including Nelson Chamisa.
