Khama Billiat was born on the 19th of August 1990 to Rosa and Mustafo Billiat in Mufakose, a suburb in Harare, where he was also raised.Billiat comes from a family of footballers and this background shaped his passion for the game and ultimately his career.
His father- Mustafo played for CAPS United although he never made it to the first team. His uncle Maxwell Cheche Billiat was a defensive midfielder for CAPS United and the national team- Warriors.
Inspired by the two important male figures in his life, Khama Billiat who used to go for CAPS United matches started training for his football career at only 10 years old after joining the Aces Youth Soccer Academy.
He joined CAPS United in 2010 under coach Lloyd Chitembwe and he played with the club for three months only before moving to South Africa.
In August 2010, Billiat got signed by South Africa’s Ajax Cape Town on transfer from CAPS United. In 2012, he starred in a friendly match against Manchester United which ended in a 1-1 draw.
