President Emmerson Mnangagwa today officially unveiled the memorial statue of the First Chimurenga heroine, Mbuya Nehanda in front of hundreds of people gathered to witness the occasion.
However, social media is abuzz with mixed emotions following the unveiling of the statue.

While there is a section arguing that the statue is rather small compared to the 3D concept and has dismissed the whole project as a waste of state funds, there is a camp viewing the development as a great way to honour Zimbabwe’s most powerful spirit medium.
