Pia Wurtzbach continues to do her part in the Philippines' battle against the novel coronavirus.
On Instagram, the Miss Universe 2015 titleholder called for her fans to help her donate 25,000 medical face masks for frontliners in Metro Manila as she started an online fundraiser.
"I'm very grateful that I am able to stay at home... but it got me wondering... what can I do to help? How do I make myself useful at this time? So I decided to just try something. I tried looking for suppliers myself, starting with medical masks. And I found a few. I placed an order of 5,000 masks to be donated to our frontliners and I received them the next day. It made me realize, kung gusto mo talaga, may paraan," she said.
"And then I thought, what if I had more? What if we could give more? Kulang pa ito ... And that is where I need your help, guys. With the help of my friends, I've started an online fundraising campaign to provide 25,000 medical masks to our frontliners in different hospitals around Metro Manila. I know this may not sound a lot, but it's a start," she added.
As of writing, Wurtzbach has raised P37,251 for her cause. Her online fundraiser can be found here.
