Newly crowned Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi recently took to social media to give a birthday message to her predecessor, Catriona Gray.
On Instagram and Facebook, Tunzi shared a photo of her with Gray when she was crowned Miss Universe South Africa last year.
“I wish I had more time to get to know you. In the few times that we set and had conversations, I felt your kindness and took in your wisdom,” the South African beauty queen told Gray, who turned 26 last January 6.
“Happy belated birthday, queen! May God continue to bless your path,” she added.
Touched by Tunzi’s gesture, the Miss Universe 2018 titleholder commented on the photo: “Aww thank you, queen!”
Gray flew to South Africa last year to be one of the judges of the country’s national pageant.
After crowning Tunzi as Miss Universe South Africa, Gray went on to pass on the Miss Universe title to her.
After her reign, Gray is now trying her hand at show business as one of the temporary hosts of the ABS-CBN noontime program “It’s Showtime.”
