Galax Etoga, the new Secretary of State for Defense in charge of the Cameroonian Gendarmerie, has caution officials on the use of social media and social networks of the staff of the gendarmerie.
According to the statement from the SED, it is now against the law for any army personnel to speak in the media or to publish on social networks information, documents or images relating to military activities.
Hence forth any media interfering by an element of the Cameroon Defense Forces, whether in operation or not, must be subject to authorization by the hierarchy.
The SED advises that information should be passed using military channels for the dissemination of information to the hierarchy ".
