The Constitutional Council rejected the two appeals for annulment filed by the SDF and the UDC, claiming a partial cancellation of the senatorial elections of 25 March. The 11 members of the Constitutional Council have, in effect, ruled "inadmissible" the three complaints brought to their judgment. It was during a hearing held today at the Yaounde Convention Center.It all started with the appeal filed by the SDF. It dealt with the conduct of the polls in certain departments of the South-West, where attacks by attackers on the day of the vote prevented a large number of municipal councilors from performing their duty as citizens. But for Clement Atangana and his accomplices , the applicant Njenje Valentin Kleber , does not have the qualities required to file this appeal.

The post-electoral dispute thus emptied, all that is missing is the solemn proclamation of the final results. According to the provisions of the Electoral Code, this proclamation should take place no later than Monday 9 April 2018.
