Eseka Train Derailment -- President Paul Biya Reacts To Inquiry Finding

Seven months after the Eseka train accident, President Paul Biya reacts to the report by the commission of enquiry put in place to examine the cause of the accident.

According to a release signed by the Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon, the President is not only resolved to put in place adequate measures to avoid a similar occurence but undertakes to assist victims of the accident.

The improvement of railway services and legal action against all those responsible for the disaster are other resolutions contained in the release published on 23rd May 2017.

As a reminder about 80 persons died and 600 were injured in the accident that is considered the worse in the history of the country. Pamela Bidjocka
