Britney Spears COVERS THE 100TH ISSUE Of V Magazine

The last time Britney Spears was on the cover of a magazine was the January/February issue of Women’s Health, and her absence from the newsstands has been severely noted.

Britney hasn’t been exactly low-key since then: She’s been doing a residency in Las Vegas and working on her ninth studio album in the meantime. Fortunately, V magazine has been feeling our thirst for more Britney and put her on not one, not two, but three covers for their 100th issue.

Britney’s first cover for V was way back in 1999, the inaugural year for the mag. According to WWD, the spread this time around was shot by Mario Testino while the cover story was written by MTV alum John Norris, a perfect pair to cover the resurgence of Queen Spears.


“When looking for cover-worthy subjects for our 100th issue, we had to ask ourselves: Who do pop stars and musicians — who have become an integral part of what V represents — look up to and admire?” editor Stephen Gan told WWD. “There was only one answer: Britney….[W]ho in our world did not grow up listening to her music? Plus, she’s spent some time out of the ether, which makes her reappearance all the more fun and surprising.”
Britney’s back…bitch.
