THE BIG STORY: Youthful and talented acts Bhila, Voltz JT, Saintfloew, Xiba, and Mugaratia have been officially unveiled as the headline performers for the highly anticipated 2026 Shoko Festival Mash Up Night.

Set for September 25, the event will bring together an eclectic lineup of Zim Hip Hop stars and rising urban acts, reaffirming Shoko Festival’s longstanding role as the ultimate platform for Zimbabwe’s urban culture and emerging talent.

URBAN EXCELLENCE: Now in its 16th edition, Shoko Festival continues to champion alternative youth culture. This year's Mash Up Night will elevate the genre by backing all hip-hop artists with a full live band.

Headlining the event for the first time are Saintfloew, Xiba, and Bhila, who will share the stage with returning lyrical giant Voltz JT, alongside supporting acts Supermuno, Millz Million, Easy Ice, Luigi Badgenna, and Hooksmith.

Saintfloew, Voltz JT, Xiba, Bhila, Mugaratia, Supermuno, Millz Million, Easy Ice, Luigi Badgenna and Hooksmith headline a diverse celebration of Zimbabwean urban music, bringing established voices and emerging talent together for an electrifying Mash Up Night backed by a full live band.

The 2026 lineup represents a perfect cross-section of artists who are currently shaping Zimbabwe's urban music scene. Here is what the headliners are bringing to the table:

Saintfloew Riding high on chart-topping singles like "Uchazondida" and "Gucci N Dior," Saintfloew is making his highly anticipated Mash Up Night debut. "I can't wait to tear up the Shoko stage," he stated.

Voltz JT Returning to the festival, Voltz JT brings his sharp social commentary and thought-provoking lyrics. "Let’s celebrate culture and music together," he urged his fans.

Xiba & Bhila Xiba brings energetic performances and proven hits like the Killer T collaboration, "Deepisa", while Bulawayo-based Bhila adds a distinct Afro-soul layer to the event.

The Live Band Experience

Elevating Zim Hip Hop from backing tracks to full instrumentation.

Mash Up Night curator Dennis Shoko emphasized that the program has been deliberately designed to offer audiences a unique musical experience, distancing it from standard club appearances.

Curator's Vision “When putting together the Mash Up Nights lineup, the idea was really to celebrate ZimHipHop in all its different forms. These are artistes who have shaped the culture... This is a safe and mature environment to watch ZimHipHop acts. Come through.”

Every artist on the lineup will be backed by a full live band, promising dynamic new renditions of some of the country's biggest urban hits.

Mashoko Tapes: The 3rd Edition

Complementing the star-studded live event, Shoko Festival is also bringing back Mashoko Tapes for its third consecutive edition.

Building the Industry Mashoko Tapes is an innovative music residency program by Magamba Network that brings together Mash Up Night performers in a collaborative studio environment to produce a completely original album.

This initiative is designed to foster artistic growth and long-term unity among Zimbabwe’s Hip Hop artists, proving the festival's commitment goes beyond a single night of performances.
