Kapfupi had received the replacement vehicle, a Toyota Aqua, on June 9, 2025. This was after the first car gifted to him by Chivayo, a Toyota Hilux, was also significantly damaged in a road accident, prompting the businessman to provide a new one.

A Gift Marred by Controversy

The handover of the Toyota Aqua was not without its own preceding drama. Initial reports suggested that Kapfupi was at risk of being denied both the car and an accompanying cash gift after he allegedly arrived to collect them in a drunken state. 

However, following significant public attention and a subsequent rearrangement of the handover, Wicknell Chivayo eventually presented the comedian with the new vehicle, signaling what many hoped would be a fresh start.

Second Car Damaged, Social Media Erupts

According to a report by ZimCelebs, it has now emerged that the replacement Toyota Aqua, which Kapfupi has had for just over a month, has also been damaged. While the full extent and circumstances of the damage are not yet clear, the news has sparked a wave of disbelief and sharp commentary across social media platforms.

Many Zimbabweans have expressed disappointment and frustration at Kapfupi’s apparent recklessness, with a significant portion of the criticism centered on his perceived failure to value the generous gifts.
