Harare, Zimbabwe – Controversial social media personality Felistas Murata, widely known as Mai TT, has issued a public apology to Harare businesswoman Shingai Ziwange-Jere following a US$100,000 defamation lawsuit filed against her.


The apology was published on Mai TT's official Facebook page, 'Mai Ts Diaries', amidst the legal challenge brought by Shingai Ziwange-Jere, wife of Murehwa West legislator Farai Jere.

The lawsuit stemmed from earlier statements allegedly made by Mai TT on her Facebook page, in which she accused Shingai Ziwange-Jere of threatening her and manipulating the country's judicial system.

According to reports, the businesswoman's lawyers had served Mai TT with a letter of demand, requiring a withdrawal of the defamatory statements.
