The case revolves around an altercation involving Prophetess Haddasah Caroline Roberts, bringing to light an unexpected turn of events following earlier reports of a potential reconciliation between the two spiritual leaders.

The surprising sequence of events emerged after Chari revealed that Prophetess Hadassah had convened a peace meeting in Harare’s Central Business District, during which she apologized for publicly confronting and embarrassing him. 

Chari, in an Instagram statement, disclosed that he had been the driver in a vehicle accident for which Prophetess Hadassah had received compensation, despite the vehicle being insured under his name. He also asserted that she had separated from her husband to live with a pastor in South Africa, a claim neither confirmed nor denied by Prophetess Hadassah.

During the court hearing, it was disclosed that the confrontation stemmed from an incident involving a car crash in South Africa, prompting Chari to allegedly threaten Prophetess Haddasah’s life and the lives of her family members.

The court proceedings, presided over by Harare magistrate Gamuchirai Gore, resulted in Chari being remanded out of custody to Monday.
