In a statement shared on their official Facebook page, they expressed their disappointment over Jah Signal's release of a song called "Tengai Mafuta," which is a remix of a song by Mai Charamba.
According to the Charambas, they had refrained from taking action against such infringements for several years, but the release of "Tengai Mafuta" prompted them to act. 

They emphasized that no consent was sought or granted for the use of their original work, highlighting a clear violation of copyright laws.

Charambas Speak Out Against Copyright Infringement in the Music Industry

Furthermore, the Charambas pointed out that Jah Signal failed to acknowledge the original composer of the songs, which is considered standard practice in the industry. They also noted a breach of moral rights in this case.

In light of this incident, the Charambas urged fellow artists and music managers to be vigilant against copyright infringement, emphasizing the importance of seeking and obtaining consent and acknowledging copyrights to avoid complications or misunderstandings.

Despite the infringement, the Charambas expressed their goodwill towards Jah Signal and stated that they are willing to engage with him to protect his channel from potential closure due to the presence of the infringing songs.
