Despite innocuous interactions and stays at Machingura's residence during performances in South Africa, Freeman maintained that he was unaware of Machingura's alleged criminal involvement.

Alibi on Alleged Day of Meeting:

Addressing the day police allege the meeting with Machingura occurred, Freeman provided an alibi, indicating that he and his band were performing at Sinoia Primary School in Chinhoyi, thus challenging the purported meeting and any illegal activities associated with it.
