Walter Magaya, the founder of Prophetic, Healing and Deliverance Ministries (PHD), has been embroiled in troubling accusations of allegedly raping a 14-year-old congregant, marking a distressing turn of events for the prominent religious figure.
According to reports from Harare Times, the alleged victim, identified as Amanda Moyo, attended a church service and subsequently accepted a ride home from Magaya, trusting him as her spiritual leader. Regrettably, she was purportedly taken to a secluded location where the disturbing incident is said to have occurred. It is claimed that after the assault, Magaya compelled the young girl's silence by threatening her with harm and cursing.
The distressing nature of the alleged assault came to light when Amanda's mother noticed her physical discomfort and sought an explanation. Subsequently, the family brought her to a private hospital, where it was revealed that she had contracted genital herpes. Despite the severity of the allegations, the family has not yet reported the matter to the police, although they have reportedly engaged human rights organizations.
