In a recent social media post, Linda Masarira, the president of Labour, Economists and African Democrats (LEAD), launched a scathing attack on opposition leader Nelson Chamisa.

However, Masarira dismissed Chamisa's claims, stating that he is merely a charismatic figure who has taken advantage of people's desperation for change.

Masarira went on to accuse Chamisa of causing the downfall of his own parties, the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) and the recently formed CCC. She claimed that his tactics, which she referred to as "cobra tactics," have caused significant harm to the opposition party. Masarira called on Chamisa to self-introspect and warned him against believing his own lies.

Unsurprisingly, Chamisa's followers were quick to defend their leader and criticize Masarira in return. The exchange between Masarira and Chamisa's supporters further escalated tensions within the opposition ranks.
