Ruth also oversees the Victorious Ladies women's ministry and Agape Family Care, which serve as the charity arm of the ministry. The couple has been blessed with five children.

After completing his studies, the pastoral board of Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) deployed Emmanuel Makandiwa to Matebeleland, where he served as an assistant pastor. Subsequently, he was given an assembly to pastor in Shangani. In 2004, he was then relocated to the How Mine Assembly, marking another milestone in his ministry journey.
