The victim is Thomas Tasarirenhamo a male aged 43 years from Marondera. The suspect is Mercy Nhira a female aged 24 years from Lendy Park Village, Marondera.
On the 7″ day of September 2023 at around 0300 hours, Thomas woke up and started talking to another girlfriend over the phone. This infuriated Mercy but she did not show her bitterness.
She quietly took a broken mirror which was kept on top of a small table located besides the bed. She hid it in the blankets.
Mercy then pretended as if she wanted to have sexual intercourse with Thomas and started caressing him.
When Thomas's penis was erect, the Mercy took the broken mirror and cut off the penis.

The police issued Thomas with the Form 234 and rushed him to Marondera hospital where he was transferred to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals for further management.Mercy was arrested and detained at ZRP Marondera Central DB 1739/23.
The scene of the crime is yet to be attended. The case is being investigated under Marondera Rural.
