President Emmerson Mnangagwa has reportedly authorised the Government to pay for CCC MP Dr Thokozani Khupe’s cancer treatment.
Last month, the former Movement for Democratic Change-Tsvangirai (MDC-T) President revealed that she is under attack from another virulent bout of cancer.
On 7 September, Dr Thokozani Khupe was sworn in as a new CCC Member of Parliament (Proportional Representation) at the New Parliament Building in Harare.
Zimbos expressed concern after seeing the former Deputy Prime Minister in her frail self, indicating that her health was shaky.
The Government is yet to officially announce this. Some Varakashi pages, however, corroborated this on X.
In May 2011, she received her first breast cancer diagnosis and underwent treatment. Subsequently, in 2012, she established the Thokozani Khupe Cancer Foundation with a mission to raise awareness about cancer. This initiative aims to combat the high mortality rates among women resulting from late cancer detection and insufficient awareness.
Years later, she defeated breast cancer and the violent disease is back again for another fight.
That night, she shared a tweet on X explaining her current health status:

Dr Khupe is now reportedly scheduled to travel to India for treatment for the cancer. Reports have emerged suggesting that the Government will foot her medical bill in India.A post shared by the page Operation Restore Legacy on Facebook announced:

Dr Thokozani Khupe’s Recurring Battle With Cancer:
