Some people online are furious after Apostle Chiwenga laughed at CCC leader Nelson Chamisa following his 2023 election loss.
Citizens Coalition for Change Presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa lost the August poll with 44% to President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s 52.6%.
However, the election was muddled by allegations of irregularities, reflected in the SADC Observer Mission Preliminary Report.
Chamisa decided not to challenge the Presidential election results in court, citing that the judiciary system in Zimbabwe is compromised.
“You tell people that God said you’ll win, then you lose, then claim you’ve been robbed, let’s pray. We then begin to ask you if God has also been robbed. Because you said, God was about to do it for you. Can God be robbed?
“Did you not say ‘God is in it?’ So what happened? Meaning to say God came out of it, isn’t it? Because if he were in it it would have been successful. It means God is not in it.”

Apostle Chiwenga Laughs At Chamisa After Losing Elections
Controversial cleric Apostle Talent Chiwenga threw jibes at the CCC leader after losing the 23 August poll. Speaking in a recent sermon, Chiwenga said:“You tell people that God said you’ll win, then you lose, then claim you’ve been robbed, let’s pray. We then begin to ask you if God has also been robbed. Because you said, God was about to do it for you. Can God be robbed?
