Former Zimbabwe Warriors midfielder and ex-Kaizer Chiefs player Willard Katsande is in danger of losing his second house in months.

Katsande had his first house in Johannesburg, worth a staggering R2 million, auctioned off earlier this year after he missed his repayments for more than eight months.

Now, his second house in The Dunes Estates, at Homes Haven Extension, in the West Rand, is also facing the same dreadful fate.

Court papers that ZiMoja has seen show that the High Court of South Africa, Gauteng Division, in Pretoria, ruled against Katsande and ordered the Sheriff in Krugersdorp to sell off his property.

The auction had a reserve price of R1 667 418.15. However, no one bid on the house at the auction on Tuesday. Mrs Erasmus, who works in Krugersdorp, told the publication they were waiting for a new auction date.

Katsande had a successful career in South Africa. He joined Ajax Cape Town and then moved to Kaizer Chiefs in 2011.


He won four major trophies with Amakhosi and was believed to be earning R200 000 a month. He left the club in July 2021 and became a brand ambassador for Sekhukhune United, a new PSL football team.

Williard Katsande also started his own clothing line called Boss Ya Mboka brand with his wife Bonga in 2023. He released unisex t-shirts and modelled them on social media.

South African publication ZiMoja tried to contact Katsande to comment on his financial woes, but his phone was unanswered.
