Businesswoman and Philanthropist Olinda Chapel announced on Friday that she is refunding everyone who donated their money to Shema TV, a Charity Organisation.
Olinda Chapel confirmed the news on her Facebook page, saying, “To everyone that donated to the GoFundme. Please expect a full refund. I have requested for everyone to be refunded directly by GoFundme.
Thanks you for your support and I hope. It won’t dismay you in doing any work in the community.” Says Olinda Chapel.
Olinda Chapel says she made this decision due to the controversies surrounding the funds, which are now being questioned by fans.
The amount that Chapel had raised through GoFundMe totaled approximately £8,557.
The decision has, however, not been accepted positively by some fans, who feel like Olinda Chapel is now controlled by emotions.
