In a surprising turn of events, a dispute over shoes between a landlady and her tenant has recently reached the courtroom, with unexpected allegations involving Zimbabwean music superstar Jah Prayzah.

The landlady, Julie Nyabodzi, had been accused by her tenant, Tatenda Masenda, of incessantly boasting within the community that she was Jah Prayzah’s wife.

The peculiar nature of the claim prompted Magistrate Nyasha Marufu to inquire about the alleged relationship between Julie and the music sensation during the hearing at the Harare Civil Court.

“Have you ever dated Jah Prayzah?” Magistrate Marufu inquired, seeking clarification from Julie.

To the surprise of those present, Julie responded,

“We once dated. I’m his ex-girlfriend.”

The courtroom was abuzz with speculation as this revelation unfolded. However, the primary focus of the case remained on the dispute between the landlady and her tenant.

In response to these accusations, Tatenda vehemently denied the allegations and accused Julie of fabricating the entire story. He refuted claims of assault or insults, asserting that it was, in fact, Julie who had accused him of bewitching her, claiming that his alleged actions were hindering her chances of finding a marriage partner.
