In a devastating incident that occurred on Friday, a church leader, his wife, and his mother lost their lives in a fatal road traffic accident.
Bishop Zondiwa Mafuleni, the leader of the Flaming Word Worship Centre, was traveling back from a funeral in Honde Valley with his wife Patricia, his mother, and three other relatives when the unfortunate event took place along Mutare Road.
Church Leader, Wife, And Mother Killed in Tragic Accident
The accident involved a Mitsubishi minibus carrying a total of 11 passengers, including the church leader and his family.According to National Police Spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, the accident occurred around 6:30 PM.

The impact caused the minibus to be dragged to the right for about 40 meters, resulting in the tragic loss of six lives, including that of Bishop Mafuleni, his wife, and his mother.
Five other passengers sustained injuries.
“Six people died while six others were injured when a Mitsubishi minibus with 11 passengers on board was hit on the left side by a Freightliner Columbia truck, with one passenger on board, at the 158 km peg along Harare-Mutare Road on Friday, at around 1830hrs,” said Ass-Comm Nyathi.
Assistant Commissioner Nyathi said the bodies of the victims were taken to the Rusape General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations.
Meanwhile, the injured passengers are receiving medical attention at the same hospital.
Second Fatal Accident on the Same Day
Tragically, this was not the only fatal accident on that fateful Friday. Another road collision occurred at around 8 PM on the Bulawayo-Beitbridge Road, claiming the lives of four people.A Honda Fit vehicle with three passengers collided head-on with a Shacman F 3000 haulage truck at the 56 km peg.
