Zimbabwean music star Baba Harare recently announced on his Facebook page, stating that he has successfully secured funds for the imprisoned Brazilian citizen, Karoline Silver Mafra, who is currently held at Chikurubi Prison.
Mafra was imprisoned on April 2, 2021, due to suspected involvement in heroin trafficking.
Astonishingly, Mafra and her co-defendant, Sibusiso Ndlovu, were acquitted of all charges related to drug trafficking on the same day.
Regrettably, Mafra had some issues with her documentation during her arrest, which has left her confined within the boundaries of Chikurubi Female Prison, unable to move freely within the country.

As a result, she is currently in need of assistance to obtain an air ticket that will facilitate her return to Brazil.
In a fortunate twist, Baba Harare has come forward to offer assistance to Karoline Silver Mafra. Through a post on his Facebook page, he has confirmed that he has managed to gather the required funds for Mafra’s airfare.
In his post, Baba Harare expressed:
It is currently unclear whether Baba Harare’s statement regarding securing the necessary funds for Karoline Silver Mafra’s airfare was intended as a humorous remark or if he genuinely managed to gather the required funds.
However, some social media users remained uncertain about the sincerity of Baba Harare’s claim and questioned whether he was genuinely able to assist Karoline Silver Mafra.

“Ndawana mari yeticket remusikana uya weku Brazil. Aiinde zvake tisare tizorore,” which translates to, “I have acquired the money for that girl from Brazil’s ticket. Let her go back home so that we rest.”
