Tebogo Sepale, also known as Prophet Tebogo Elijah Sepale, represents Matlosana municipality’s ward 25 on the council. Due to a video showing him with a churchgoer, he is currently in the news. Serious claims have been made against Prophet Tebogo Elijah Sepale, claiming that he solicits punani from both men and women who approach him in quest of work. Tebogo Sepale is charged with having punani with the purpose of favouring those in his employment and omitting his rank for his own gain. He was the subject of a case that was filed on May 3, 2023. He represents the ANC in North West Province’s Ward 25.
Tebogo Sepale, an ANC councillor, is alleged to have a pattern of pestering community members for favours. The male is Tebogo Elijah Sepale, an ANC Ward 25 councillor in the city of Matlosana municipality, is also engaging in activity with children from his church, according to Barry Roux, who posted on Twitter. He can be seen with a child on video.
He also serves as the pastor of a church in Kanana Extension under the name Prophet Elijah.
More women came out with similar claims of misconduct against him. To preserve the ANC’s standing among the public, the party had to make the difficult choice to suspend Tebogo Elia Sepale immediately.
Through a tweet that reads, “The ANC in the North West has suspended one of its councillors in the City of Matlosana (Klerksdorp) following allegations of misconduct.” Tebogo Sepale has been suspended with immediate effect following the release of additional complaints against him from similar women.
