A WITNESS to the domestic dispute between actor Jerome Galiao and his wife, Nerissa, has spoken out.

Sandi, a friend of Nerissa, gave a detailed account of what transpired, leading to Jerome’s arrest.

“I got to their new place to help Nerissa pack and worked till late.

“Then I said I was cold and she gave me her night gown to wear.

“Jerome was drinking all day, he was sloshed and kept coming into the bedroom where we were packing, giving random updates about his conversations with his drinking buddies.

“It was all very weird and annoying. I mean you could see he was sloshed.

“Nerissa said to me the way Jerome is drinking, there will be drama before the night ends and I asked her what she meant.

“She said when he drinks he is very confrontational and likes to start fights.

“Around 11pm, he called and asked her to come to speak to him in another room and she went and came back looking very annoyed,” said Sandi.

“She said he was complaining about me wearing her night gown and she told him I was cold.

“A little while later she started looking for the house keys saying she needed to find them because she had to be up very early to open for her workout clients.

“She asked Jerome and he was acting nonchalant about the whereabouts of the keys and she got upset and came back into the room and put on a tracksuit.

“She went to look for the keys herself. She eventually found them and freshened up to sleep because she was tired.

“They don’t sleep in the same room when he is drunk, and he was already lying down alone in the other room at this point.

“I was on my phone when she got into bed and was falling asleep with her phone playing something on social media.

“I shook her and told her to turn the phone off.”

The drama started after Nerissa fell asleep.

“I heard banging sounds in the house and I was scared to leave the room, so I sat on the bed next to Nerissa while she slept.

“I tried to wake her up, but she didn’t wake up. I guess she was just too tired as she hadn’t slept for two days.

“About 40 minutes later the noises stopped and he came down the corridor and pushed the door open.

“He just jumped onto the bed over me and onto Nerissa before she fell off the side together with him.

“He banged her against the floor screaming ‘you don’t f**k know me’. She told him to stop and he didn’t, she called out to me to call the police.

“I said Jerome if you don’t stop this now, I won’t call the police, I will call Popo, who is way bigger than you and he will beat you up so bad, you will regret this. I was trying to pull him off.

“She screamed, Sandi called the police so many times and eventually he got off her and she told him to leave the room.

“The cops came and questioned us before taking both of them to the station.”
