A prominent Harare model is in a precarious situation following a weekend of excessive drinking and drug use. While under the influence, she was caught wandering the hallways of a well-known five-star hotel in her birthday suit.

The model and her companion who also participated in the weekend’s debauchery, appeared in court on Tuesday to face the consequences of their actions.

The duo appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi facing a charge of possession of a dangerous drug.

During the court proceedings, it was revealed that model Tumelo Nare and her 18-year-old companion, Precious Bango, along with an unidentified male, reserved a room at the luxurious hotel with the intention of engaging in unrestricted casual sex and cocaine use over the weekend.

As the effects of the cocaine kicked in at around 6.30 pm on Sunday, the two women’s behaviour changed. They became increasingly uninhibited, eventually walking around the hotel completely naked.

Delegates attending a meeting at the hotel were disrupted by the duo’s behaviour, leading them to call the police and resulting in their arrest.

When the police arrived they recovered 0.2 grammes of cocaine in their hotel room. They proceeded to arrest the two women but their male counterpart made clean a escape with all his belongings.

The cocaine that was recovered by the police has a street value of $16 000.

Tumelo Nare and her companion were in court today for bail consideration. At the time of writing it is unclear if the two were set remanded out of custody on bail.

Tumelo Nare is not new to controversy. In 2019, Nare made headlines after she allegedly failed to finish paying s_ex toy she had purchased from a fellow model on credit.

Nare denied that she bought a toy from Leerose and insisted she had borrowed a charger instead.
