Yes! Everyday I’m bombarded by such messages and allegations. You see when I started my journey as a man of God, it was through pain, my ministry was not born in the confines of leisure nor was it birthed from an overabundance of excess time on my hands. No!, It was birthed from the womb of pain.

God called me into his service and when I answered, the first class I attended was years marked with pain and struggle. Had it not for the constant encouragement from his word, surely I would not have made it thus far. I’m a hardened man who has gone through the college of persecution and pain.

Throughout my life, I have met people along the journey who shared my beliefs, my convictions, and my testimony in Christ and though we have walked together at some point, there is none who has experienced the pain I went through to be who and what I am. When people raise such words against me, I’m more than encouraged to continue in my walk with him for in his word he told me that in (“John 15v20; Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also.)

What people do not understand they attack. It is human nature. My scars in ministry have not been from the heathens or the non-believers but from those whom I withheld dear and close to me at some point. My mandate was not given by man nor was there anyone present when God called me. It was just me and him. And when people come into my life and lay their own suggestions or when opinions differ, only a few leave in peace.

Many leave and choose to label me with all sorts of names. Does that move me? No, far from it.

When people that were close to me leave and begin to attack me, I leave no room for hate to occupy my heart. You see it was the light that drew them to me and usually it is the light that draws them further from me. I pray for those who attack me and call me all sorts of names. What differentiates us from the world is how we respond. We do not respond as the world responds, we respond in love, and our weapons to fight back are our knees. 

Never let the opinions of people Shape your reality and never let their hate towards you change you into becoming the monster you are not.

Love them more when they leave you.
Pray for them more when they accuse you.
Fast for them even when fast for your downfall.

On the journey of life, you will encounter such people who you will hold dear and close only for one day for them to wake up and speak against you.
