Popular radio presenter, DJ Ollah 7 is under fire for pitting female celebrities against each other on his high-rating programme On The Spot.
Social influencer, Brian Bhubhu Nyamushamba triggered the conversation with a post in which he criticised Ollah for preying on women’s most vulnerable life moments.
Whats sad is that people are failing to see that its a man inviting women on that show and forcing them to adress their pain and most vulnerable moments for the whole world to see and judge. That man is never going to know how it feels to marry a scammer neither is he going to be in a position to be forced to acknowldedge his husband’s lover on National radio. He just cannot relate Chats why its easy for him to open those cans and humiliate victims on air.He was growing on me but the last 3 interviews including Mai Chaurura’s left a very bad taste in my mouth. And to add insult to injury today they post a poll comparing the 2 ladies and our gullible Zim women took the bait and are busy fighting in comments..The pettiness and hate amongst women is at an all time high and if this is the generation we have to carry our future. We are in for a very painful ride.
His recent guest Jackie Ngarande also jumped into the conversation accusing Ollah of trying to feast on the darkest phase of her life.

Star FM Radio Presenter DJ Ollah 7 Under Fire For Pitting Female Socialites Against Each Other! |
Personal Experience,if u watch my interview, Ollah tried to pin depression on me, he asked more than 8 questions about my mental health breakdown, he thought maybe ndichachema here or Aida kundinyadzisa, I’m not sure, but I had to brace myself and respond ,that whole interview turned into bars for bars. I even told him kuti Psychiatrist said, I must not discuss anything about that live, he said okay, getting in studio he changed and decided to sort of humiliate me aitoda kuPlayer Audio ye live ndichichema, ndakabva ndangochinja Musambo. I became very loud, over confident and I had to face him with energy.
If you looked closely,My body language said everything,I was shaking answering question bcz of anxiety ,If you watch again look at my facial expressions, body movement you will understand it,ndagara ndinokakamira, bvazvasangana nekutya, I lost it. I was shacking on that Interveiw.
I laughed vanhu vachiti ndine dzungu, it was fear + anxiety = unstable body language. So yeaa Brian said it all.
Good morning, I’ve seen a lot of positive and negative comments on social media about the show, let me put the record straight. The show is called ON THE SPOT, I’m sure you all understand what it means to be on the spot. Most people catch feelings after their favorite is being asked difficult questions. I don’t ask questions from top of my head but I ask questions which are already known. Most of our public figures do not have time to share their side of the stories, they get trolled and judged on social media but I have created a platform for them as well to tell their side of the story only that I do it differently. The show has been going on since last year November, it’s not always about scandals or controversy sometimes it’s about inspiring people for example if you watch the interview I did with Daniel Chingoma recently you will not get any controversy. The only thing here is that I have interviewed 4 socialites in a row and they have a lot of fans that’s why people are saying this now. ON THE SPOT is a no holds bar show, first if it’s kind . I interview politicians, soccer stars, socialites, musicians, business people, actors and more. During the interview you may think that I don’t talk to these guys in actual fact I talk to all of them privately and most of them ask me to be on my show they love the grilling because to some extent it gives them relevance and put them back on the limelight. We talk, we laugh after the show. I have no problem with anyone I’ve interviewed so far.Jackie Ngarande Officiall posted something this morning which I don’t understand kuti is it because people are saying something different now or what? Coz we both enjoyed the interview, and Tate even attacked me for accepting a gift from Jackie achitofunga kuti ndakabhadharwa . Kkk it’s funny how people react. If you look at other countries, you will realize that we’re still behind in terms of our show buzz, look for other interviews on internet, you will understand what I am doing. Lastly, the show benefits the interviewee coz they get a platform to air their side of story though I will be hard on them. It also gives people the real picture of the person interviewed than to judge from a distance. It also keeps them on the limelight for example, we’re talking about the previous interviews and the people who were on the show it’s called relevance. Expect more hard core interviews, more interesting and intriguing ones. My inbox is full with people who wanna come on the show.

However, the hunger to succeed and having faith in God, helped him to rise to the top. This aptly sums up Star FM’s most sought-after-presenter, DJ Ollah 7’s gruelling journey to the top.
Born Owen Madondo, the presenter conceded he never got it on a silver platter. He recalled his past after celebrating his 30th birthday in style recently.
“I grew up under the care of my grandmother,” he said.“She is the one who raised me after taking me from my mother when I was only nine months old.“Then, I was still breastfeeding and she also took me to school.“I was staying in the rural areas until I was Form Three.”
DJ Ollah 7 said relocating to the capital did not bring instant joy in his life.
“In 2007, I then came to Harare before enrolling at Zengeza High 1 School.“Things were still bad, since my mother had remarried, and you know how it is,” said Ollah 7.
He said he never had a special bond with his father.
“I grew up as someone who did not know my family.“I only saw my father in 2006, when I was doing Form Two.“From there, I would visit but I did not stay with him.“So, my life was painful without a father as my mother was struggling somewhere.“My grandmother was struggling with me as we stayed in a two-roomed house, which I destroyed, and rebuilt a better one for her.
“Currently, I now I have my own house and properties.”
The disc jockey, who hosts Star FM’s After Drive show, said he would take any job.
“I didn’t get it easy in life and I had the guts to take any job.
“At one point, I became a vending tout, ndichisheedzera mumashops ehembe mutown umu, and my first employer was Biggie Chinoperekwei of Divine Assignment.
“I used to work at Bush House along Cameron Street before he opened another shop at corner Chinhoyi and Albion streets.
“I was again touting there and at that time I was a clothing tout and he was the first to be my paymaster.
“While I was there, I was noticed by someone who called me to their supermarket,” he added.
He said he got the life-changing opportunity when he went for the Star FM auditions.
“I went for auditions at Star FM, which were held at Alex Park.“I arrived only to see about 2800 people.“Fortunately, I qualified to be in the top eight.“I thank God, but as someone who grew up in poverty, I can now do my own things.“This year, I decided to do a big birthday bash, in which I chose Chitungwiza since that’s where I grew up after I came from kumusha.“I have not stayed anywhere except Chitungwiza.“I planned this bash at Leisure Centre. I did an event which had VIPs and family,” said Ollah.
The young presenter said the bash was meant to unite friends, fans, and corporate and family members.
“The reason was to unite my relatives, church, corporate because these people contributed to be what I am today.“I had several artists, Baba Harare, Vabati vaJehova, Nutty O, Mathias Mhere, Rumbi Zvirikuzhe, BaShupi, Peter Moyo, Mambo Dhuterere, King Shaddy.“They came to perform for free.“They came to support me and we had more than 10 000 people.“I was surprised since I have not done any show like this in my life.“I felt so humbled, to see such a big number“My budget was around US$3500 for everything. Some people helped me, but most of the things I did it alone.“I thank God for helping this,” he added.
He shared his experience in the industry.
“I now have a decade on radio, I am moving with my theme #Rewriting my own history#Changing my narrative.
“The story is based on where I am coming from and where I am going.“This is based on what happened before, the narrative/ perception that people know about me.“People should now have a new narrative on me, not Ollah the small name, I was 10 years ago.“There is the new Ollah, a new brand. I am now on a new level, ndiMwari, I thank you.”
