A petition calling for the deportation of the controversial Prophet, Passion Java, from his residence in the United States of America, has been made to the Vice President of the United States Of America, Kamala Harris.
The petition, titled, “Deport Panganai Java from the US, he is an enabler of Human rights violations in Zimbabwe”, was set up on the website change.com by Citizens’ Coalition for Change (CCC) activist Godfrey Kurauone. The petition is targeted to have 1,000 signatures, and by 9.54am, 644 people had signed it.
Passion Java reportedly stays in the United States and only visits Zimbabwe, although he spends more time in the country.

“The State Department of the United States has through it’s Secretary of State has the power to begin the process of revoking Mr. Passion Java’s permanent resident status. The USA policy is to support freedom, democracy and prosperity for the people of Zimbabwe and to this end has imposed restrictive measures on individuals who aide human rights violations and undermine democracy in Zimbabwe. Mr. Java is one such culprit and should be sanctioned and barred from coming to the USA and his accounts frozen,” read the petition.
Passion Java is a staunch supporter of ZANU-PF and of President Emmerson Mnangagwa. He has been spotted at the party’s events on a number of times.
The controversial cleric, who also sponsors musicians in Zimbabwe, also makes sure that some of the artists he sponsors give shout out to the President. In the song Patati Patata, by Roki, Congolese Kofi Olomide and Tanzanian Rayvanny, Kofi is also heard praising President Mnangagwa.
