Miss Universe queens have been giving help or offering words of encouragement amid a health crisis.
Pia Wurtzbach, who won in 2015, caught up with reigning queen Zozibini Tunzi over a live video call on the international beauty pageant’s Facebook page.
The 30-year-old Filipina model-actress received good words from the South African beauty.
Zozibini said she really “loves” what Pia has been doing.
“Because I just feel you have so many followers. It’s nice that you see, I think, it as a responsibility to use your platform to help others and spread this positivity and light as well. And that’s just incredible,” she related.
The 26-year-old model likes it that Pia is living up to her tagline “I’m a Miss Universe with a heart.”
“Even many years later, you’re still living it,” Zozibini said. “It’s fantastic that you’re doing what you’re doing… We appreciate your help so much, queen!”
Pia’s latest campaign sees her raising money to buy medical face masks for frontliners in Metro Manila.
