Musician and businesswoman Rachel J has given birth to a baby whose paternity is being disputed by her former lover and self-proclaimed husband Terence Mukupe.
The former deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, shocked many when he accused Prophet Shepherd Bushiri of the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church of having fathered the child. Mukupe sensationally claimed that Bushiri had been involved in an adulterous affair with Rachel J who he claimed was his wife.
Prophet Bushiri spiritedly denied the allegations and accused Mukupe of trying to extort him. He threatened to take legal action against Mukupe over the salacious allegations.
Rachel J was initially quiet while the whole fiasco unfolded on social media. However, she later came out guns blazing and accused Mukupe of lying. She refuted Mukupe’s claims that she was his wife and said that the former minister had only moved in to cohabit with her because he was broke and could not take care of himself.

She also warned Mukupe to back off her affairs, saying that she had more of his dirty laundry to air out in public. She insisted that while the child belonged to Mukupe, she could take care of the child’s needs on her own since she had managed to take care of Mukupe’s 10 children
The musician has since shared photos of her newborn who she named Najah, Deborah, Makomborero. Writing on her social media page, Rachel J said,
My baby girl, you were 6 months in my belly at this time and I enjoyed every moment of it. Now I welcome you into the world with so much joy. My Najah, Deborah, Makomborero. You are clothed with wisdom, grace and favour….a woman of valour, God’s gift to me! You have a great destiny hence you’ve been fought from conception….uyimbokodo. My joy, my princess.
