Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi will leave behind the glitz and glamour she has experienced since she was crowned, to spend time at her home village, Sidwadweni near Tsolo in the Eastern Cape.
She will be welcomed at the Mthatha airport on Saturday by her family, community members and traditional groups.
“There will also be an imbongi. We will then be going to Esidwadweni for a family feast where all are welcome to join in to welcome her. There will be Umnqusho, traditional meals, a braai. She has been to sophisticated restaurants, but we just want her to feel free and welcome and enjoy her time with the family,” says a member of her family.
Miss Universe will also visit her primary school on Monday and attend the State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Thursday.
