Fast-rising comedian Ray Vines advocates for faithfulness. Born Melusi Chiripawoko, the 19-year-old Mukukuzvi brand owner said this ahead of the Valentine’s Day to be marked on Friday.
He also said he was also in a relationship with a lady only identified as Ruva. Award-winning comedian Ray Vines has urged couples to be faithful at each other.
“My relationship with Ruva is more of a satire, it (relationship) ridicules young people who think having many boyfriends and girl-friends is good,” he said. In a quest to fight against cheating, Ray Vines used his affair as an example to tackle the aspects of current relationships.
“Ruva and I, we are working towards imparting knowledge to youths to copy as a relationship is more of working together and supporting each other. “Our short skits and videos teach partners to be faithful and to trust each other,” he said. The Chitungwiza based comedian also opened up on how his relationship has grown.
“You don’t have to play hide and seek with parents be open that’s how you grow and get blessings. “Both my parents and Ruva’s support us and we are excelling through their support and blessings,” he said.
Ray Vines said he was inspired by the feedback he is getting to work hard. “With the response that am getting on social media, we are inspiring a lot of people,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ray Vines will be screening romantic videos at Zimparks Gardens on February 14 and 15. “There will be a screening of exclusive and unreleased videos and I’m inviting everyone to come and watch.
“Since it’s Valentine’s, Zimparks Gardens together with Mukukuzvi we thought we should partner to advocate for faithfulness and trust in the relationship and also working together and supporting each other.
Ray said he is also working on opening a Creative Hub which he believes will help many people. “I’m working on opening a Creative Hub for young creative’s in Zimbabwe and it will be opened soon,” said the comedian. “Be proud of your partner and be faithful to one another,” he said.
