Zozibini Tunzi is expected to touch down in South Africa this week for the first time since winning the Miss Universe crown in early December.
The beauty queen spent the festive season in New York City, where she will be based for the duration of her reign.
While Miss SA officials have not released the exact day when Zozibini will arrive in the country, it is believed to be sometime this week.
The 26-year-old is set to make an appearance at the Sun Met in Cape Town on Saturday.
She is the face of the Sun Met 2020 campaign alongside Bonang Matheba.

Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters attended “Africa’s richest race day” in January 2018, several weeks after she was crowned Miss Universe in 2017.
A few days after Zozibini’s Miss Universe win, Miss SA officials said they were “planning to do a special South African homecoming fit for a Queen”.
Speaking to The Juice earlier this month, Zozibini said that she can’t wait to return home.
“I know that everyone is just as excited as I am to hit home ground. I can’t wait to feel the energy, when I get home, which will be the first week of February. This win hasn’t just been about me; I share it with South Africans,” she said.
The Eastern Cape beauty also revealed what she misses most about SA – other than her family
“Whenever I have to put a grocery list together, I realise how much I actually miss home – when I can’t find the things I really want. The other day I wanted Aromat, and I wanted Aromat so bad. Nobody could understand what I was going through. Being surrounded by my culture, and my people is something that I will always miss the most,” she told the publication.
Sasha-Lee Laurel Olivier, who took over the Miss SA crown, is also expected to attend this weekend’s Sun Met.
Zozibini is currently in Indonesia as part of her Miss Universe duties.
“Daydreaming of home in beautiful Indonesia,” she wrote on Instagram and Facebook.
