It's been over a week since she has taken the Miss Universe crown, and the life-changing events of that day are only now beginning to sink in for Zozibini Tunzi.
On Friday the 26-year-old took to Twitter to open up about how she's been feeling since winning the prestigious title.
"For the first time yesterday I set alone and I cried so much. I think I've been running on shock and adrenaline that I hadn't really processed what has just happened in my life. I cried tears of joy playing over and over in my head when Steve announced SA as the new Miss Universe [sic]," one tweet read.

"Me..Zozibini Tunzi, Miss Universe. Of all the countries and amazing women, the universe chose me. My life has been changed forever, I do not take that for granted. Never have I been filled with so much gratitude. Good is good [sic]," she went on to say.
Zozi spent the first week after her win attending back-to-back interviews in the US – this included visiting Trevor Noah on The Daily Show and chatting to the team at Good Morning America.
Miss Universe winners usually go back to their country of origin for a homecoming tour, and Zozibini is expected to do the same, but the dates for her return have not yet been confirmed, according to the Miss South Africa Organisation.
