MDC principal a and former finance minister Tendai Biti has blasted the sudden decision by the government to ban all Ecocash, cash in cash-out outlets with immediate effect.
Biti said it wasn’t a good move and will not work in trying to control the parallel market but instead the government had to implement strong reforms.

The banning of Ecocash payouts will not & can't stop the parallel market. Only structural reform can. This era of regulations, Presidential decrees & exchange control directives is a dangerous period of dirigisme. Command economies don’t work. The illegitimate regime is clueless.
