If you thought Zodwa Wabantu appeared unbothered about the men that were groping her nether regions a few nights ago, you were spot on.
The popular 34-year-old finally reacted to the outrage that was caused by a viral video showing a group of men sticking their hands up Zodwa Wabantu’s legs and touching her inappropriately.
In her opinion, people were overreacting. In fact, Zodwa Wabantu was critical of how people cried foul about those uncouth men who were making unconsented sexual advances towards her.
Was Zodwa Wabantu sexually harassed?
In the video, taken from a porno-esque upskirt angle, Zodwa Wabantu can be heard addressing a crowd at an event. She can be heard warning a man to contain himself.The crowd cheers her on as she vows to stay for a little longer and continue drinking, all the while being groped by a group of men standing behind her.
The footage left a bitter taste in people’s mouths. Some were of the opinion that this was a clear act of sexual harassment, while others felt that Zodwa Wabantu’s nonchalant behaviour was a clear sign that she may have approved of it.
Quoted in a Tshia Live article, the Afrotainment signee made it abundantly clear that what we saw what part of her entertainment offering. The way she sees it, it was pretty mindless of people, who do not support her, to have a say about what happens at her shows.
“They are my fans, there was no abuse whatsoever, and no harm was done. Those men are the ones who support me, not all these people making noise,” said Zodwa Wabantu.

The entertainer explained that being groped by men is something that is part of her performance. As far as she is concerned, she belongs to them, “I am theirs,” were her exact words.
