Social media has been split after rumours of media personality, Bonang Matheba’s rumoured romance with Banele Mbere, one half of twin duo, Major League DJz.
Soon after Bonang Matheba tweeted about how she and her man were going to have a wonderful life, black Twitter set out to find out who the mystery man is.
It did not take long before they concluded that the Being Bonang reality star is involved with one half of popular twin duo, Major League DJz. Since exposing their speculations on social media, fans and followers of the star have worked on finding proof of their claims.
One of the first images used to verify claims of the rumoured romance was an image taken on Saturday, 27 July 2019. The two images feature Banele Mbere with his hand over Bonang Matheba’s seat, while she leans over her cocktail, laughing. Part of the accompanying series of images, shared as proof, feature the two at popular tourist attraction, Vilakazi Street in Soweto. The one image reveals Bonang Matheba gifting the DJ with a customised bottle of her popular House Of BNG alcoholic beverage, with the title of their latest EP inscribed on the bottle.
Other followers used Bonang Matheba’s latest tweet as proof. In the tweet she had stated, “… all the joy,” and Major League DJz responded to the tweet by writing, “Joy is worth fighting for.” Moreover, Bonang Matheba has been the first to comment on the DJ’s Instagram post.
On Friday, 23 August 2019, Banele Mbere posted a series of images and videos on Instagram of him jet skiing in Cape Town. First to comment on the post was Bonang Matheba with a series of emojis. A fan of both stars suggested they should have a child together on her post, and Bonang Matheba responded by writing, “Lol! Banele, [what do you] say Papi? Shall we?” Banele Mbere replied to the comment by writing, “Haha let’s do it. Alu needs a sibling.”
The two are yet to confirm or deny the rumours, with Bonang Matheba currently out of the country on vacation.
