French President Emmanuel Macron has urged his Cameroonian counterpart Paul Biya to speed up measures to help solve the crisis rocking the North West and South West regions of the country.
Emmanuel Macron made the call to Biya on Mondayin a telegram congratulating the 85-year old on his re-election.
The French President said his country is ready to support any înitiative taken by Cameroon aimed at seeking a “political solution” to the crisis in the Anglophone regions of the country.

The fight against Boko Haram is a battle which France will continue to lend its support to Cameroon, Nigeria, Chad Benin and Niger, and is ready to stand by these countries, Macron told Biya.
