"Twenty-five terrorists were killed  in the north-west during clashes between the army and armed groups," said a source at the 5th joint military region in the northwestern regions of the country.

"In a first clash Saturday at Mbot level in Nkambe, six attackers were neutralized by elements of the gendarmerie company Nkambe," reports a source. "After fierce fighting on November 12 at Mayo Binka in Nkambe, nineteen other attackers were killed, eleven weapons, two army betrayals and a belt were recovered by the Nkambe Company."

By taking the oath on 6 November 2018, President Paul Biya in his speech called on the separatists to lay down their arms. In his inaugural address, the Head of State assured that a solution will be found in the North West and Southwest during his 7th term of seven years.

"I have the deep conviction that the overwhelming majority of our compatriots in North West and South West aspire to return quickly to peace within the national community. Unfortunately, many of them, because of the threat that secessionists continue to impose on this part of our country, were unable to exercise their right to vote in the recent presidential election.

To these war contractors, who are undermining our national unity and advocating secession, they must know that they will not only face the rigors of the law, but also the determination of our defense forces and security.
