Withdraw Your Statement, Apologise To Cameroonians, UDP Chair Tells Kamto

According to Lawan Bako, it is unfathomable that, Kamto, a professor of law will act in violation of the country’s electoral code.

“What I read in Kamto declaring himself president is that, if you see a bird dancing in the middle of the road know that, the drummers are in the nearby bush. This act is condemned by us of the presidential majority because it is meant to incite the public to violence. He never campaigned in the two troubled North West and South West Regions so where did he get the results that early proclaiming himself winner.

Let him withdraw that declaration and apologized for going against the law as well as not respecting the code of conduct they (candidates for the presidential elections) signed prior to the elections.
In the weeks of the campaign to the Sunday’s vote, Bako while campaigning in Bamenda for candidate Paul Biya warned Cameroonians not to vote for persons whom he described as gamblers.

Back then, Bako took a swipe at most of the presidential candidates of Anglophone extraction. He questioned what candidate Akere Muna had done for Cameroon given his international fame. On candidate Frankline Ndifor Afanwi, Bako said he has nothing to show for in his community but dreams of becoming president.
