President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Deputy Constantino Chiwenga personally got Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa fired, it has emerged.
Ruvheneko was until the weekend a presenter at the Zimpapers run CapiTalk FM radio but she met her fate when Chiwenga reportedly complained that the radio station had crossed the line on its reportage. The station last month grilled the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission chairperson Priscilla Chigumba and most recently (last Wednesday) engaged the National Patriotic Front spokesperson, Jealousy Mawarire, the latter who during the program severely criticised the former military commander who is now the vice president, Constantino Chiwenga.
Another staff member, the program manager Napoleon Nyanhi, (also called Napster) has also been sacked.
Impeccable sources within the radio station say Ruvheneko is the victim of a so called on going restructuring exercise at the state run radio.

When asked concerning the floating rumours, she replied dismissing them saying her exit was “amicable”.
While Nyanhi was fired after the radio station opened phone lines on August 1 when Chiwenga’s soldiers shot and killed at least 6 protesters in Harare, Parirenyatwa was singled following her interview with the National Patriotic Front spokesman, Jealousy Mawarire who lambasted Vice President Constantino Chiwenga and British ambassador to Zimbabwe, Catriona Laing.
Chiwenga demanded answers following the 1 August interview afterwhich Nyanhi was told that bosses in Government wanted him kicked out. Subsequently, his junior, Ruvheneko was also forced to exit via a so called “resignation.”
