Breaking News - Prophet Magaya Injured

Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries canteen was gutted by fired, which nearly destroyed the church's headquarters in Waterfalls on Friday night.

The fire believed to have been caused by an electrical fault was quickly put off by the fire fighters left Prophet Walter Magaya with deep cuts on his two fingers.

Prophet Magaya hailed fire fighters for their quick response.

"I was at Yadah Hotel when I heard that the canteen was in flames and I want to thank Fire Brigade officers for responding to our call on time," said Prophet Magaya addressing thousands of people that attended his church service yesterday.

"It took me less than ten minutes to get to the church premises and I thank God the road was clear for safe driving.

"Most of the people are attending Sunday services following the decentralising of our services to avoid congestion along Simon Mazorodze Road and save lives from road traffic accidents.

"The church structure was saved and only the canteen was destroyed. I sustained cuts on my two fingers during the battle to put off the fire," said Prophet Magaya.
Asked if he had been shown this unfortunate incident during prayers, Prophet Magaya said some of his followers begged him to keep the canteen open since it had created employment to some of them.

"I told our administration staff to close the canteen sometime in 2016 since it was disturbing church services but some of the members who were benefiting from it pleaded with us to save their jobs," said Prophet Magaya.

"As for the fire incident, it happens to anyone both believers and pagans even Apostle Paul had to fight battles of ship wreck and other challenges during his missionary journeys.

"Problems are part of the ministry and prayers of PHD members saved the church structure and in this incident God used our fire fighters to be on time and it is a testimony to believers.

When H-Metro visited the church yesterday, Prophet Magaya was conducting his "healing session" and among the congregation was Garikai Zindi, who made headlines two years ago for being "delivered from the spirit of madness".for the challenge to ensure the record will be in order.
