At least three gendarmes were wounded on Tuesday after assaulting unidentified gunmen. Armed individuals attacked a gendarmerie station last Tuesday in Wum, a locality in the Menchum division (North West Region).
The gendarmes who were there responded, but two of them were wounded by the bullets of the attackers, who burned the pickup of the gendarmerie before fleeing.

Another gendarme was wounded on the same Tuesday on the Wum-Bamenda road. Unknown people opened fire at a checkpoint. It is difficult to say whether the group that attacked the checkpoint is the same who injured the two gendarmes of the gendarmerie station.
